We'd like to list a few tips for buyers to help them with their purchases. These are just some general guidelines and shouldn't be considered a comprehensive list.
  • Visit the manufacturer's website to verify that the item you're purchasing wasn't part of a recall.
  • Don't purchase cribs made before June 28, 2011 or that aren't 16 CFR 1219/1220 compliant. Read more.
  • If you arrange a pickup/drop-off of an item bring someone else, don't do it alone. Meet in a high-traffic and well lit location.
  • Avoid using personal checks, if possible, to make payment for an item. Cash or third-party payment systems with fraud protection are preferable.
  • Carefully inspect the item before you pay for it making sure the make, model, condition, and other details that were described are accurate. We can't enforce item returns/exchanges.
  • When applicable ask the seller if they can demonstrate the item's functionality.
  • Carefully read the manufacturer's instructions before you use the item to ensure proper and safe use. Failure to do so could put your little one in danger.
  • If you're purchasing vintage furniture consider that it may have lead-based paint. Either test the paint or strip it and repaint it.
  • Thoroughly clean the item before you use it.
